He went on TV, and spoke out at Pressers about it --- his remarks were picked up by *lots* o national media.

Basically he said: I'm not responsible for the ad, but I find it reprehensible... but I *can't* formally ask the Republican National Senatorial Campaign to pull it down (as many were asking him to) because federal law bans any overt coordination between the campaign efforts. Never-the-less I denounce it.
