Like any sane person, I prefer the lowest possible taxes with a government that pays for what it spends. I want my taxes spent as efficiently as possible.

In Iraq, we flush 9 billion a month down a rathole, never to be seen again, and we pay for it with debt. Imagine if ANY President had done this on some domestic program to help needy Americans..
