So on what basis are they saying that the Iraqi military will be able to take over?

That statement has the same type of wishful thinking hue to it that Cheney's statement that "they are in their last throes" had.

It only has credibility to those who still believe in Bush, the faith based community.

The reality based community knows better.

They told us that Saddam had WMD stock piles. They told us the Iraqis would welcome us. They promised a quick and easy victory. Why should we believe anything they say?
