Yeah, my way is certainly less expensive.

One thing is when I buy them I get fitted. That is to say, the pro gives me a half dozen makes/models and I try each, refining it down to where I'm comfortable with two sets.

Then I may use each set for a few rounds and decide.

Then I buy them, they stop working first round I use them, I break 'em in half and start over.

Difference is, you spend all of your time building and practicing meanwhile I practice and play.

What do you do with the old shafts, use them for rebar on your construction projects?
