re holding gold shares ;i suppose it depends how long ones investment outlook is......however the volitility in gold shares makes them hard to hold long term...i mean,either they are too scary or the desire to sell high then buy back lower is too tempting.
the direction interest rates will take is very much a matter of opinion.....and it seems that opinion is changing to a bias towards tightening.jmho

and cash is starting to earn a reasonable return
