ephud - But a lot of people dabble with them and try them out. In that arena, Intel is woefully inadequate compared to nVidia or ATi.

That's not the point. Most people don't spend their time playing graphics intensive games.

I.e. most people don't care about having ultimate performance, and instead buy systems based on value?

Sure, in areas where Intel has extremely poor performing parts, it doesn't matter. If AMD is trailing by 10% or 20% on a benchmark, the sky is falling...
