I remember when a noted SciFi writer was waiting for a survey satellite to arrive at another planet to release a sequel to his wildly famous first book. When the mission got delayed he wrote a sequel without as much scientific information available. Like that scary scenario you were responding to, both his books were fiction.

Reading tea leaves about the possibilities in the future is not an exact science. Stories like that are not as interesting if they do not have the scent of truth. This one laid out a not unlikely scenario. If it makes people realize the stakes we are playing for, that is so much the better.

Republicans have a major problem with voters because they have not honored most of their campaign promises.
