Re: Second, you failed to notice the key word in the Orton sentence, "help". Of the $200 to $300 difference in price, only some of that would come from the CPU+GPU. I figure that to be about $50 of the difference. Mostly that is the cost of a good GPU. AMD already saves the cost of the NB.

OUCH! You sure can dream up the nightmare scenario for AMD!

If AMD's revenue was $40 from a Sempron and $25 from a chipset, you are now claiming AMD will be selling a CPU/GPU combo, and a southbridge, AND have to integrate PCI Express into the CPU or southbridge all for the low, low price of $15? Even considering that the $50 example might include a 25% markup AMD's revenue would only be $25. Even I'm not THAT pessimistic.
