I've had enough time on the fireline to know that after a day or two the glamour is gone and you just want to go home. And though forest fires can kill you, they do not actively seek you out like the enemy in Iraq does. No doubt that less-than-half-of-one-percent of the active duty troops in Iraq reflects that emotion that I used to feel after a day or so on the fireline. "I just wanna go home!"

Also, as this is a free country, no doubt there are honest dissenters in the military as well.

Reuters and the rest of the MSM should not make too much out of this headline.
