EZchip partners with Marvell for NPU-based line card architectures OCTOBER 25, 2006 -- Marvell and EZchip Technologies (a subsidiary of LanOptics Ltd.) have announced a partnership to develop, market, and sell network processor unit (NPU) products. The offerings will feature such enhanced capabilities as advanced Carrier Ethernet class traffic management and the programmability to support new Carrier Ethernet standards, protocols, and flexible services. These features will enable developers of metro Ethernet switching and routing platforms to develop complete end-to-end capabilities for next-generation IP networks and triple-play services in their products.
