Well, Paul Ehrlich said we were all gonna starve, and we would have. Technology changes.

A lot of people have worked on defense projects including yours truly. Where does the responsibility chain end? What about the milkman who delivers milk to the guy designing the nuclear trigger?

Fact is, when you are working on a defense project you deliver the goods as it's your job. You have a responsibility to give the tax payer value for money, as few give the tax payer that break.

The place to stop nuclear bombs is at the ballot box if you want to. It is a communal responsibility. I know you don't like the concept, and shirk from it, but it's the bottom line.

I don't want to sound if I'm bullying you or anything, but it's real dumb to blame scientists for the ills of mankind. Scientists are just part of the whole cake. Problems need to be understood and fixed in that light.

Who created DDT? Sabin?

Who invented eugenics? That one, for sure, Louie Pasteur

Who developed the chemicals that punched a hole in the ozone?
Dumb and Dumber?

Who developed new crops in ten years that require massive amounts of chemicals to grow to maturity that replaced crops that suited us perfectly for 10,000 years?
The lead singer from Green Day; can't remember his name.
