Bill -

You're entitled to your own opinion, of course. I think it depends on the individuals.

That's a blanket attack on liberals, which to me doesn't indicate much in the way of open-mindedness. Again, just my opinion.

I think it's interesting that one of the criticisms Republicans have made of the Democrats is that they do not speak with one voice on the subject of Iraq, or on the general subject of national security. As if having differing views within the party is somehow a bad thing. Expecting everyone within a political party that represents half the population of the country to agree absolutely about such complex issues doesn't seem to be an example of being open to new ideas.

By the way, I think sending troops to Iraq in the first place put them at much greater risk than questioning the wisdom of sending them there ever could.
