Well, I was agreeing with his conclusion, which was that the centrist threads were the most tolerant.

There could be a lot of different explanations for the fact that there seem to be more bans on the left of center threads. Perhaps the conservatives who have been banned have more of a tendency to get personal in their attacks? I'm not saying that's so, but it's one possibility. In any case, I don't think this particular ratio can be used to make a definitive case one way or the other, nor can it necessarily be applied to the world at large.

I have found that there is a lot of personal invective thrown into political discussions on SI, which is one reason why I don't tend to participate in them too much.
