Several years back, OPEC tied each country's production quota to the amount of their reserve. Almost overnight the "known" reserves of every member country jumped, some times by more than 100%!! Funny how that happens. I also find it interesting that the known oil reserves of Saudi Arabia is a state secret. They probably have a decent handle on what's there. I hope you're sitting down. I read that Saudi Arabia claims there's nothing to worry about wrt oil reserves/peak oil. There's plenty of oil. That's a relief. <s> jttmab
