Several years before I retired, a good client of mine had her twin sister kidnapped, raped and murdered... all this over a span of several days. They finally executed the SOB, but the ordeal was horrible for my friend and her family. The day of the execution made the TV news big time. All because of the idiots who came out to protest the execution.

Exactly so.

My brother in law's father survived the first WTC bombing and retired before the second. That didn't keep him from losing 26 close friends or colleagues in that disaster.

When I visit my wife's parents, we drive by a house once occupied by a family that was murdered.

My father's secretary's son was murdered by one of those hitchhiker killers.

I'm lucky to be two degrees away. I'm sorry that you are one degree away.

Nobody should even have to think of it.
