Dear Tench:

You need to read again what I wrote. I am rebutting that memory speed affected the dismal Intel IGP (GPU) scores. Drjohn's a rebuttal points about the lower scores being due to lower memory speeds and lower amounts of memory are both red herrings because the benchmarks don't push either.

The additional point is that Merom can't use faster memory because its 667MHz FSB can't use dual channel DDR2, so OEM notebook makers don't put the faster memory in. The comparison benchmarks didn't use the fastest memory in the AMD notebook either. But he keeps trying to make that obviously irrelevant and incorrect point. Shades of the socket 754 debate come to mind.
