>>>>Agree 100%, as long as the chosen defense is effective. Is it?<<<<

Tom, your civil and considered reply is well received by me, if my opinion means anything to you. You asked, "Is it?"

Assuming you want my answer, I can only say, based on OUR limited knowledge of the facts on the ground OVER THE GLOBE (which is what this war has developed into), that since there has been far less conflict in our 50 states since 9/11 in spite of lack of cooperation by some of our citizens and other important principal countries, that something is being done somewhat effectively. Could it be better? Probably...especially when our citizens and other so-called Allies? decide that SUPPORTIVE GUIDANCE directed to the leadership of this war is far better than highly public politically motivated demonization of the leadership, accompanied by mis-informative insinuations as to the intent and competence of such leadership.

It's understandable that the latter behaviour quickly emboldens the enemies to arrive at the conclusion that the American people will easily grow tired of acting in their own defense (a la Viet Nam) and, naturally they will propagandize such apparent weak resolve in order to recruit more suicide bombers and Socialistic revolutionaries to help in the cause of destroying our way of life.

Tom, my answer to your question is not intended to besmirch your stance in this troublesome situation, since you declared that you agreed with me on the rest of my personal rant...unless you decide otherwise, there is nothing but respect for each other's opinions, from my standpoint.

Buck
