Next time I am in Portland visiting my kids I will invite you and your wife to go to dinner with us. My treat. They are very sober, those two, but very funny. I am sort of the delinquet in the family-lol.

My daughter told me once: "dad, when you get a little older your weird behavior will be seen as cute----but not yet-lol.

By the way, it just so happens the one cooking trick I have is a special BBQ sauce like none you have ever tasted.

Here is the recipe: try it. I should have bottled it years ago. Everyone I have ever made it for loves it. Best on chicken, country ribs and steaks. I guess that is everything.

Ketchup, olive oil, red wine vinegar, smashed garlic (lots),salt, pepper (lots), worchestier sauce (not too much), red wine, and here is the ingredient everyone misses--- lots of crushed turkish bay leaves. Only turkish, not the california laurel (bay leaves too sweet and strong). let sit for a few hours.

The sauce should have a slight vinegar taste.
