I've been thinking that Cheney and the rest of Bush cabal would be much happier in Saudi Arabia. In fact Saudi Arabia seems like their ideal land. In Saudi we have:

1. Oil (and lots of it)
2. A country that is run more like a corporation than a nation
3. No public social programs
4. Lots and lots of religious bias
5. No privacy rights to make wire tapping hard
6. No restrictions against torture
7. Did I mention Oil?

Comes to think of it, the rest of us would be very happy with that cabal moving to Saudi as well...it is a win-win situation!

If cruelty and torture were the key to power, Rome never would have fallen

Not that I'm arguing for cruelty and torture, but your making a bad argument against it. Rome lasted for a long time, and their ruthlessness contributed to the fact that they lasted so long.
