We have different views here. (1) I do not agree that it is correct for an elected government to directly seek favors from non-elected organization after the fact. The candidate should make his case directly to the people and take his chances rather than make behind scene arrangements behind the public's back. (2) Bush is widely quoted as never being "out-Christianed" again. He is a Yale graduate from a rich family and yet he play acts the redneck man of the people. I find this morally bankrupt and it is on par with the Saudi royals who act Islamic and drink like fish and womanize away from the public.

We have very different perceptions of the character of members of this administration. I doubt that can be resolved easily.
