Florida has a lot of advantages, no income tax, great winter weather, nice beaches (if on the coast), low cost of living in food and clothes BUT I live here, have lived here most of my life, AND I want to warn any of you thinking of moving here, CHECK OUT THE HOUSE INSURANCE RATES and make sure you can afford them. They have SKYROCKETED in last 3 years. Its positively awful. If you come to SE Fla. stay WEST of I-95 unless you are very rich. R/E taxes have risen but not too bad, especially compared to North East, utilities are actually lower then years ago. jdn
