I agree...but I don't think most people saw through him. Americans aren't really known for good attention span and looking at details.

"I find Bush utterly incapable of practicing effective deceit. He just isn't that slick, IMHO." Some of the deceit is written for him, which he repeats over and over again. "Stay the Course" is a fine example. WMD's is another. Is it just Rove's puppetry? I think not. The Man's values allow him to utter things, perhaps not thinking about them deeply, but that he knew were flawed in some ways. Is he different from any other Prez? Probably not but he claims to be very different.
