It seems indestructible. Like the Bourbons, it forgets nothing and it learns nothing.

If they do win, I hope the Republicans can overcome their ineptness by '08. But there is no doubt that the "bad news" out of Iraq is the major factor.

I dont agree, what makes this time different IMHO is the MEDIA has convinced everyone (or tried to) that the Dems are going to sweep Congress. If we could just prove them wrong and instead pick up seats (thats the key IMHO to showing them up) then not only the Democratic Party would have to realize they have to get in step with the PUBLIC, but also that the Media is as much OUT OF STEP with THE PUBLIC as they are. It would also demonstrate why FOX news has been so successful at the expense of the other Cable news channels. jdn
