This entire thread is a big fat lie. Air America is very factually oriented and responsible. You rightwingers ought to listen to Al Franken's show and find out what honest discourse is really all about. Franken is very-very careful to use facts only, and goes out of his way to prove his points using facts. He also doesn't take things out of context and try to twist their meaning like the rightwing talkers do. People like Limbaugh, Savage and Hannity are very different, they are total pollutants of our airwaves. They are shameless in terms of propaganda, distortions, disinformation and smears. They do not use facts, but always twist the facts or cover them up. By comparison, Franken is a real Honest Abe. The reason you rightwingers smear Franken and others like him is because you are afraid of the truth getting out, that's all.

I challenge you to name one lie Franken has ever told. Bet you can't find one. Why? Because Franken himself is the ultimate "truth cop" on himself. He is extremely careful never to say anything which could come back to discredit him. He is, after all, not some propaganda jockey like Hannity and Limbaugh but someone who's considering running for senate in 2008, when any thing he's ever said could be used against him. So he absolutely cannot lie. Now the GOP recently put out a smear ad against Franken in Ohio. It totally fabricates an imaginary interview with Franken from Horowitz's book which was a big fat pack of lies. Then the rightwing photoshopped a photo of Franken to put him in baby diapers or something. Why do they do such dastardly dishonest things? Again, because they are afraid of the truth about their own corrupt ways getting out. That's all. So they have to try and smear the messengers of the truth so the public won't believe the truth when they hear it.
