is worse than surface hugging: it hugs surface, once it is about to appear on the radar horizon, it pops up, a 15G manoeuvre. Go up and then descend on the target at supersonic speed.

The defense system is off, when it appears on the horizon, the defense systems are switched on to engage the sea hugging incoming missile. But then the sucker climbs up and comes donw on top of the ship.

The problem for a Sunbunr is that it needs a plane to give him the direction to the target. If you are in a battle group, you are constantly monitoring the sky for enemy planes. It will be tough for a helicopter to approach the fleet undetected.
