This board was bookmarked by most people when Ken moderated it. Then it wasn't a food fight, but a place to get really decent foreign affairs information. There are no threads today that compare in terms of size, and the almost anti-"discussion" bias that Ken had. I can't think of any threads that don't have way too much opinion to good solid high quality news- and I'm as guilty of just chatting on threads as anyone else, but Ken kept me in line here, and he kept everyone else in line as well. That made it restrictive, and less "fun", but it made the thread a heck of a lot more useful- so I imagine people left when they realized this thread had become like all the other places on SI.
