There is something we can agree on: <throughout history and in all of history, effects follow causes and then again> The four forces of the apocalypse are inevitable, relentless and perpetual. The fifth force of the apocalypse, consciousness, is in Goedelian self-referential and self-reverential interaction with those four forces, moulding them to what the consciousness desires and predicts and creates by bending those four forces to the consciousness, which is paradoxically defined by previous inputs of the four forces to the structure of that consciousness. The four forces recreate their own subsequent disposition through the filter of consciousness. A very tricky system; intrinsically narcissistic. Consciousness is the summary of the history of the four forces until the time at which the conscousness decides future action. A pathetically incomplete summary, but better than nothing. The DNA summary provides a reasonable foundation to work from. The experience of the living does the rest. It is a teleological process. Where is it going? We don't know where we're going, but we're on our way. Mqurice
