I don't understand why people think republicans are good for the economy. Clinton is the only president in the last 20 years to preside over a good economy that wasn't put on the government's tab. It doesn't take a lot of talent to look like you are doing ok if you are racking up debt like crazy. Bush started with approximately $5.7 trillion national debt. Now it is at $8.5 trillion. That's $2.8 trillion that Bush and the republicans are responsible for racking up. That's a 49% increase in the national debt.
