Karen, I did see and hear Rush and my reaction to him stands.

Your arguments about Bush and stem cell restrictions have nothing to do with why Rush is being criticized. MIchael Fox wants expansion of research, he wants government approval and funding of that research. Who could blame someone with the disease from desiring that and supporting candidates who also want this? When you attempt to refute a "victim", you step on treacherous ground and need to tread carefully, using the facts, and staying very clear of parody or cheap personal attacks.

The day Rush made the accusation he said, "Fox is "moving all around and shaking .. and it's purely an act. This is the only time I have ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has." Limbaugh added that "this is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting, one of the two."

He didn't mention the book until the next day when he "bigly, hugely admitted that he was wrong" and apologized IF he was. Even his apology had an arrogant tone. Regardless of any of the facts surrounding the incident, Rush chose an inappropriate and ugly way to attack.
