Symptoms of Parkinson's disease range from being hardly noticeable - and all the way to being totally incapacitating. The disease is usually progressive.

Insulin "the medication" replaces the lacking natural substance, that's true. Medications used for Parkinson's disease - for the most part - either replace the lacking neurotransmitter called Dopamine - or slow down its destruction - or emulate its action. The analogy I offered has parallels in many respects, not only medical.
