Actually they are very good. I was greatly surprised. If you're going to try one take the smallest firmest one. It will last you long enough to see if you like them. I always 'lightly' scraped mine as well as washed, but they say you can treat them much like a baked potato using just a scrub brush. Have fun!! :) If you don't like it you can put it in a salad or chinese stir fry of some kind and it will just add to the variety of tastes. I liked them straight out of the refrigerator :)
