I saw a documentary on car salesmen years ago. One thing that stuck with me is one guy said his rule was ALWAYS give the customer a story to tell his friends. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to people tell me stories about how they screwed the dealer on their new car, and inwardly chuckled to myself.
