No men too have little knowledge of the rest of the world apart from China and the US and little about geography of the US. Seems their education system doesn't teach about much about geography apart from that of China or make people interested in that. Some are people very interested in the environment (I teach/research environmental and resource economics) other not etc. it doesn't matter. My sample isn't huge... but I haven't found any exceptions yet. And these are the educated elite of China who got into foreign grad schools and speak excellent English.
