I totally missed the fact that the article was wrong about the Badr brigade! That was a good catch by Sun Tzu. Wiki has a nice write up on the Badr and Mahdi forces.

:) Anytime! Here is a good read Message 22954176 The author is of course full of bias (as hard as he tries to hide or justify them) but in terms of historical facts, he is not too bad.

When I have more time, I will write a brief on Shia's theological structure and may be even on Iran's political set up.
