Wow. I just watched the ABC network news broadcast. I had no idea that ABC had sunk this far. Delivered by a happy-face, sing-songy talking head, it had all the gravitas of People Magazine. It was the slickest mind-fuck I've ever seen. The sub-text of his intonation and that of the "correspondents" was "we are your friends," and "don't you feel good that we're telling you all this?" Except that what they were telling us is that the democrats have no plan, and Michael J Fox should shut up if he doesn't like being savaged by people like Limbaugh, and Hollywood stars should mind their own business. All information was dumbed down, easily digestible, massaged to eliminate any edges. It had all the punch of a Disney cartoon. All you folks at home just go about your business. Nothing to see here. Keep moving. That's right. Now, don't you feel better?
