Bushies stand for the billionaire class. No wonder there are more and more billionaires, they're getting away with murder. Exxon's record profits are probably about 50% gouging which I consider grand theft on an obscene scale. Exxon should be thoroughly investigated, regulated and windfall profit taxed. Democrats will certainly win congress, but the senate is a toss-up. Could go either way, but whatever happens it will be by a razor-thin margin. Missouri, Tennessee and Virginia are all likely to be 51-49% outcomes or less. Dems will hang onto New Jersey. Those three toss-up races will depend on the direction of the wind next week. I think it will probably be the anti-Bush direction, but who knows? If the GOP hangs onto the Senate Bushies should not feel very comforted, because the anti-Bush moderate-liberals like Olympia Snowe will hold the deciding votes. The rightwing will no longer be in power, the GOP moderates will, including Arlen Specter who has already said impeachment of Bush is possible for his illegal domestic wiretapping program. If Dems only get congress then we will have gridlock with the issues on the DEms side. If Dems take both houses them they will effectively stop the entire Bush-Cheney machine, which is what the majority of Americans want. This would force Bush to either cooperate with Dems for the firstg time in history or just became a total lameduck who gets nothing done.
