I read a good post the other day, I forget where, that outlined in very lyrical terms how Rush lives in his own imaginary universe, which consists of his views and the straw men he invents to knock down on the air every day. No doubt he is a calculating showman who knows what script to write for his audience, but the end result is sufficiently divorced from reality that I find it fairly wacko and definitely 100% winger.
