I don't know that she ever voted for Allen before. He's only run twice before, once for governor and once for his current gig in the senate. I think her problem with him is that he's too socially conservative. That plays downstate but not here. And his opponent is no lefty, is barely a Democrat, so there's an acceptable alternative for Republicans like her.
