Clifford, you called Cubans and Vietnamese part of a "ruling class" that had to flee the communists. They had to flee communism all right, but they were hardly part of a "ruling class." That's just your own justification for not counting them as minorities that "matter." The Cubans were from the middle and upper classes ......why do you think they moved up the ladder so quickly? They were supporters of the dicator, Batista who was overthrown by Castro. Prior to the overthrow, Cuba had become more affluent and the people closest to Batista benefited greatly. When they fled the country, they took their jewels and money with them.
