TD-SCDMA is a silly technology designed to steal QCOM property and to protect a local market [like the silly Japanese did with their PHS system which went nowhere other than Japan - more or less]. Global technology is vital and low cost global technology is essential. High-cost W-CDMA cobbled together by self-dealing committee is not good. TD-SCDMA will be worse. CDMA2000 gives China a way to beat all comers, including the W-CDMA cartel which needs anti-trust action [against it - the ridiculous assertions against QCOM should be turned to face the GSM Guild].
