One of the big arguments against Globalstar succeeding in the past was the terrestial cellular business. It keeps changing and growing. The handsets have cameras & calculators & windows XP & PDA usability. Globalstar is just a phone, albeit a great phone with no drops anywhere in the world. Try that Cingular! But the cellular providers are not standing still, with new gadgets every 6 months, it seems. And coverage for cellular ranges from average to excellent. I see cellular continuing to make strides to water down satellites advantage.
