ON the way home from rehearsal today, I heard the story about Kerry and couldn't help but laugh. Like Rush, he threw one of those visceral bombs-- this one landing on our young troops in the military. He can now claim "botched joke" (serves him right for trying to be cleverly mean) or whatever he likes, but everyone, Dems included, reacts first to the implied nasty implications against our servicemen. The statistics out of John Cornyn's office show that we have a pretty well-educated force, with officers holding BAs or higher. But even so, with so many risking their lives every minute, even if they all were first grade dropouts, Kerry would have come out badly on this one. Things Mama Taught Me: You don't speak ill of the people who have volunteered to defend you.
