I bot mine at Wal Mart for $20. It's Rival with a removable crock and the recipe book implies it's a Wal Mart special deal. Not that I'll ever use it but it has a neat strap that will hold the lid on securely if you need to take the pot off to a neighbor's house, or church, school, etc. so it won't be tempted to fall off. Best thing about it is that it will fit in my very limited cupboard space. Looking forward to trying it out. If you go, look for the "blue crock pot" offer. Does hubby work outside? Sounds like hard work, whatever that is. Keep him fed!
