... i was surprised to see bmc.v on the list, they must have tripped over a little U3O8 somewhere .... i like alz.v for an U play, not scientifically chosen as i don't know the field much ... got to learn ... those guys are talking 120 uranium now, lol

Billy: I barely track U juniors but chose PDN.TO as my horse. Just added a lot to my prior small position after the Cigar Lake fiasco. It should have production from a couple of properties in the intermediate term. Nice blend of production exposure and exploration upside. $2B market cap, much bigger than I almost ever buy, but I want (and thus must pay for) oncoming production because I'm buying based upon the experts' widely noted supply shortfall.

Caution: Paladin's properties present some country risk; I'm more willing to accept it than most may be. It depends upon price, the company, and the chance for a big move that will let me sell some shares and keep a "free shares" position.

billy - come over to the Uranium Stocks thread if you want to pursue this in depth.

Subject 18729

If you are looking for companies that are farther up the food chain, then SXR Uranium One, Palladin, Energy Metals may all be worth a look. I don't own any of those, but have heard good things about them.

Strathmore is my biggest U position. They have two properties in the permitting process (New Mexico), are lining up three more in Wyoming for permitting and have the largest footprint of anyone in the Athabasca.

Forum Uranium looks good. Lots of activity on their Athabasca properties that we'll be hearing about over the next few months and the stock has not run up yet.

Universal Uranium - Very busy drilling in Lisbon Valley, Utah right now and doing prep work in Labrador in the Central Mineral Belt (next to Aurora and Crosshair).

Energy Fuels - it's run a lot, but who knows, Aurelian was a 10-bagger after going from .30 to 3.00 and then it did it again.

I got a few more, but that's probably enough.

Try to find companies with strong management teams, good properties if possible with proven resources, advanced exploration programs with potential news catalysts and cash in the bank.
