Please forgive me for responding to what you said, and not to what you could just as easily have said. What you said was just not a valid interpretation of the data.

The data still do clearly show that moderates, who range from 33% to 44% of the group in question, which for the sake of argument I'm agreeing constitute people who are well informed, outnumber conservatives, who range from 22% to 38%.

I've already agreed that, if we are to assume that these data represent people who are well informed, conservatives outnumber liberals among them. I happen to think it's significant that moderates outnumber them both. You may agree or disagree about the significance of that fact, but it remains a fact.

We could get into a whole other discussion about which outlets best inform their readers/viewers/listeners. For one thing, I don't think local news shows do a good job at all, for the most part. I think you'd agree that morning news shows, Leno and Letterman aren't exactly prime news sources, either.
