You clearly don't realize how offensive Bush's comments about the democrats were.

I think Kerry's remarks were terrible, but Bush's remarks about the democrats were very very bad- and while Kerry is nothing, Bush is supposed to be the president of us all. He sure isn't my president if he thinks about my party that way.

I repudiate Bush and Cheney. They do not represent me; they do not respect my party at all, and they come close to labeling my party as being anti-American.

May Bush be cursed by history; reviled by the next generation, and may he suffer the ignominious fate of seeing the opposition party, which he and his VP have so reviled, make a positive imprint on history while his impact has been almost nothing but negatives. May he live a long and miserable life contemplating his failures, and what might have been if only he HAD been a uniter instead of a divider.

If you check the context, as Chris Mathews did today, you'll see Kerry had Bush in mind; not the troops. He definitely mistated the joke but that's all.

The point of the Reps reaction is to try to do anything possible to distract the electorate away from the failures in Iraq, etc. They had a concerted effort to do. Everyone read from the same script.

It's good to see Kerry counter punch.

Choosing between Bush and Kerry in 2004 was bad enough as exercises in scraping up the dregs go; watching the two of them jump into the sewage again like this goes way beyond useless distraction.

I wouldn't give you 25 cents for either one or their GPA on a good day. It wasn't an accident this thread started only six months after the moronic escapade that was the 2004 presidential election.

Dumb and dumber - take your pick which applies to which.
