Kerry didn't diss the troops and you know it. Allen's Macaca comment though was deliberate. He knew what the word meant and he used it on purpose, even said "welcome to the real America" as if the brown-skinned Indian isn't an American. Allen also has a long history of racism. While Kerry is a Silver Star winning war hero who has devoted much of his career to defending veterans rights. Kerry simply made a gaffe, which will happen to anyone once in awhile. Bush makes hundreds of gaffes, some of them much worse. Democrats never make a big issue of it. But the GOP is now totally desperate. BTW; the gaffe attack by the Bushies also brings attention to two important things; 1) They are totally dishonest, including Bush himself 2) Iraq, Iraq, Iraq, Iraq, Iraq and how it's totally falling apart more and more every day without any realistic plan for change from the White House.
