I do agree that the republican effor to make so much more out of Kerry's comments than they implied at their worst, has just about fizzled out. Piling on from this point......easily could backfire because, after all, Kerry's comments about Iraq were about..IRAQ....And Iraq is still the story of the day on November 7th.

Kerry's remark may actually serve to highlight the fact that it is the poor and the lower middle-class folks that get sent to die in the wars, and not the smug, wealthy College Republican types.

MSNBC analyst says Kerry's gaffe hurts the GOP. While embarassing to Kerry personally to have a stupid gaffe played over and over, all this really does is make people think about Iraq, Iraq, Iraq and how badly Bushies blew it there.
