Here is the Option History for the
07 Jan 20's from 10/21 to 11/1.

The 4491 increase in Put Open Interest on
10/31 follows a 6495 volume on 10/30.
But the +1277 increase on
11/1 follows a volume of 601 on 10/31
and 418 on 11/1.

A 1 day delay in Option Open Interest
(a.k.a Open Interest is begining of day,
Volume is End of day) is a good theory,
but it doesn't explain everything.
