We both need to remain focused and serious during the week. We go up to our cabin and let our hair down so to speak on the weekend. Sleep in the next day too.

I'm having a parental issue. My son got hit in the face today by another kid. He's only in 2nd grade but I was in 2nd grade once too and if someone had hit me in the face I'd have lowered the boom on them. I'm telling him to walk away and be tough but there's a part of me that would like to see my son unleash on this kid and teach him a lesson.

My Grandpa taught me this in 3rd grade - he said "never raise a fist to another person but when life gives you no other option - teach them a lesson they'll never forget."

I don't think its time for that - he's too young. But I want him to stand up for himself. Never in my life did I walk away when someone hit me in the face - never. That was the line that nobody was allowed to cross. If they did they were in for some serious pain

This has NEVER been an issue with my son until the divorce!
